Venue: Villa on the Lake Georgetown

A little about me……I started my road in photography at the age of 12. I took a film class when I was in elementary school and thought it was so magical to capture light and see the development of your own negatives. Six years later I found myself at a crossroads trying to figure out life. I started my college career at UNT and took all kinds of classes that I was interested in. It only took one semester of exploring to figure out photography was where life was happening for me. I fell in love again with the process and earned my degree in 2009 with a BFA concentrated in Photography. While in school, I took every kind of photo job that came my way. And since then, I have built a business from those small jobs. And this is where you find me now! Photographing, blogging, cooking, traveling, kayaking….all of which I document here!
So, I hope you find what you’re looking for! Whether you’re looking for someone to document your big day or your fashion line, I’d love to collaborate!

Little John David should be making his appearance very very soon!!! We CAN’T wait!!! He is going to be the first Sizemore boy born in quite awhile, and the first grand baby! So needless to say, all of us women are going to be fighting over some snuggle time! I shot these pics for my sister before her last shower. I can’t wait to take JD back here for some newborn portraits! His entire life will most definitely be well documented!

It’s Friday…and I’m editing! I’m sure a lot of you are too! So I thought I’d share some of my process again with any of you! I’ve talked a couple of times about VSCO presets. I also wanted to share what I do when I don’t use VSCO. Each photo stands alone and needs different attention. So here is an example of an outtake I’ve processed through Camera RAW and PS Custom Curves.
Here is the RAW image….a little overexposed ya think?
I open it up in Camera RAW and adjust temperature, fill light, black point, the tone curve, and the exposure. (Not in that order). I keep adjusting the different selections until I feel like it’s the right look for the exposure.
Here is what it looks like opened up in Photoshop after adjusting the image in Camera RAW:
Then…once it’s opened in PS, I run an action that I created that adds two adjustment curves to burn and dodge (darken and lighten). From there, I can paint in where I want to burn and where I want to dodge. After that, I create custom curves and levels until I am happy with the image.
And here is the final image!!
Feel free to download any of these custom curves to use for yourself. This photo uses all of these curves together! Happy Editing!!!!!

I am so excited that these images are out! Abbi contacted me last Spring to arrange a shoot for their new Fall 2012 line and I was beyond excited. First, because of what they stand for…. “The mission of WORN is to provide refugee women living in the United States a supplemental source of income, empowering them to rise above poverty. All products are hand-knit in the USA by women who have survived the afflictions of their war-torn and poverty-stricken homelands.” And secondly because I love photographing fashion! WORN encompasses all of my passions in one. A fashion based company that functions to provide help for women!!! My heart nearly exploded!
They just released their new fall line last week! So go check them out, support the women who make these amazing pieces and spread the word!
Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot!
